Please join us for the 51st New York Leatherneck
Celebratory Ball as the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation continues the  tradition of Honoring Marines By Educating Their Children.

The New York Leatherneck Celebratory Ball is the original and premier event supporting the  Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. It is frequently attended by notables such as: Marine Corps Leadership, Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, America’s political and corporate leaders, celebrities from sports, television, film, and, of course, Marines and their families. Show your support for this worthy cause and join us for an unforgettable and patriotic evening.

Today, the FDNY "Emerald Society" Pipes & Drums has the distinguished honor of being the largest fire service pipe band. The band continues to play at weddings, parades, funerals and, most notably, the June 2007 "Charleston 9" funeral in South Carolina. The competition band continues to compete, mainly in the eastern United States and occasionally abroad. In July 2006 the band placed 2nd in Grade 4a at the All Ireland Competition, the first American band to ever place in the top 4 at this competition in its 65 plus year history. In the spirit of all our departed Brothers, both in the band and in the department, we will continue to dedicate ourselves and our music to them by proudly playing and marching to American, Irish and Scottish tunes and representing our Society and the FDNY. We are proud of our Irish Heritage, proud to be Americans, and proud to be members of The New York City Fire Department. As present members of the band, we will carry on the tradition into the future, praying and hoping that our future Emeralds will carry on what was started by the Charter Members of 1962. We're looking forward to a special performance from the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums!
